Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Well, I’m back from my first quarter of grad school and since student papers are graded, their grades are submitted, my papers are turned in I thought I’d resurface in the world of book memes on this blog. So, since I have finished Gerald’s Game I thought I’d come back to Teaser Tuesdays. This week I’m reading Worlds That Weren’t: All-New Novellas of Alternate History which contains short fiction by Harry Turtledove, S.M. Stirling, Mary Gentle and Walter Jon Williams, and this week’s Teaser comes from Stirling’s novella Shikari in Galveston which is set in the same world as Stirling’s The Peshawar Lancers:
by Harry Turtledove, S.M. Stirling, Mary Gentle and Walter Jon Williams
