ABCD Rating System

ACQUIRE: Run out and buy it right now!; This book is absolutely fantastic. This would be the top rating, five stars.

BACKLIST: It’s worth owning, but take your time; wait for it to go to paperback, or to be on sale/used. This is a great but not fantastic rating, four stars.

CHECK OUT: It’s worth reading, but I wouldn’t pay money for it; put it on hold at your local library, or borrow it from a friend. This would be a middling rating, two to three stars.

DITCH: Don’t bother; this book isn’t even worth checking out from the library. We’re talking a one to no star rating.
